I-275 reopens near MLK Blvd after multi-vehicle crash

Tampa, Florida -- The Florida Highway Patrol has reopened all lanes on southbound I-275 at Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard following a multi-vehicle crash Wednesday afternoon.

Tampa Fire Rescue reported on Twitter 4-5 vehicles were involved in the crash and one person was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Tampa to host 'super' enrollment events for health care coverage

"With over 90,000 citizens of Tampa without healthcare, this is an economic and a quality of life issue for our friends, neighbors, and family members. All of us pay when an uninsured person walks into an emergency room with a chronic illness that could have been treated earlier and cheaper," said Mayor Bob Buckhorn. Rescued panther kitten rehabbing at Lowry Park Zoo

Tampa, Florida -- A rescued Florida panther kitten has arrived at Tampa's Lowry Park Zoo for neonatal care and rearing.

FWC says a team of panther biologists rescued the approximately week-old kitten at the Florida Panther National Wildlife Refuge in Collier County in mid-January while there conducting research. At just one pound, FWC veterinarians say the male kitten had a dangerously low body temperature and was non-responsive.

50-year-old man found dead

Tampa, Florida -- Tampa police are investigating the death of a 50-year-old man.

Juan Ordonez was found in his home on W. Arch Street Sunday morning. Authorities say he suffered upper body trauma.

His death is being treated as a homicide. There are no suspects at this time.

Brooksville credit card skimmers potentially obtained 342 card numbers

Brooksville, Florida -- In an update to the credit card skimmers found at a Hess Station in Brooksville, detective found that 342 credit card numbers were located on the devices. 

The skimmers were found Wednesday on pumps 1,2,7, and 8 at the Hess Gas Station at 26260 Cortez Boulevard.

Man steals over $1,600 in wine from Publix

Tampa, Florida -- A man broke into a locked wine display and made out with 6 bottles of wine totaling over $1,600.

The man entered the Publix on North Dale Mabry Highway on February 11. He made his way to the wine department and broke the locks on the wine display. He then took two bottles of Roederer Cristal, two bottles of Armand De Brignac and two bottles of Perrier Jouet Belle.

The total value of these six bottles is $1,641.94. 

The suspect then picked up a pack of toilet paper, three reusable shopping bags and left the store without paying.
