Deputies search for driver who threw puppies

In Hillsborough County, the search is on for the person who threw two puppies out of a moving truck.

The sheriff's office says someone called to complain about a reckless driver at Sligh Avenue and US 301. But before deputies could get there, they tell us someone threw two puppies out the window and onto the roadway.

Hillsborough Animal Services picked the animals up and took them back to the shelter.

We reached out to animal services and employees are going to let us get a look at the puppies later today.
