Tampa, Florida-- Student jazz ensembles have a terrific opportunity coming up at the Patel Conservatory at the David A. Straz, Jr. Center for the Performing Arts, as the nonprofit arts organization will present the Straz Student Jazz Festival on Saturday, April 13.

Tampa, Florida -- Today is the last day to see The Chalk Walk art festival.

March 17,  is the last day to see more than 50 chalk artist cover Hyde Park village sidewalks with original works of art. The artists are competing for $3,000 cash prizes.

The event is presented by Tampa Bay Businesses for Culture and the Arts (TBBCA). The event is free and an opportunity for the community to see live art as it happens and converse with artists on their process as they create temporary masterpieces.

Carrollwood, Florida - The Carrollwood Cultural Center will host its annual "Arts in the Park" on March 16 and 17.

The event is a two-day outdoow art festival commemorating the fifth anniversary of the Center.

Entertainment inclues the Carrollwood Cultural Center's youth theatre troup, Broadway Bound, the Carrollwood Winds Concert Band and the Center's Community Chorus.

Food vendors, local artists and children's hands-on activities will be available.

Strings in Spring in Carrollwood

Strings in Spring in Carrollwood

Carrollwood, Florida - Carrollwood resident, pianist Franz Mantini, will be joined in by violinist and former Florida Orchestra Concertmaster Amy Schwartz Moretti for a classical concert.

The show is set to take place on Saturday, March 9 at 8 p.m. at the Carrollwood Cultural Center on 4537 Lowell Road in Tampa.

The artists will present a program featuring music by masters Mozart and Brahms, complimented by delightful selections by less often heard woman composers, Amy Beach and Laura Netzel.
