Tampa, FL-- A new French restaurant called Piquant just opened in Hyde Park Village in South Tampa.

The French-inspired restaurant also offers gourmet catering, a wine bar, cooking classes, specialty cakes & carvings.

Right now the restaurant is open limited hours which include:

Mondays through Fridays 6:30 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Saturdays 8 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Sundays 8 a.m. - 3 p.m.

Piquant is located at 1633 Snow Avenue in Tampa.

Tampa, FL-- The Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce has announced they are now accepting nominations for the 2013 Small Business of the Year Awards, presented by Sam’s Club.  All nominations must be submitted to the Chamber by Friday, March 8. 

According to the chamber, the Small Business of the Year Awards annually highlights the impact of small business on the Tampa community, and recognizes the best of the best.

Brooksville, FL -- The Hernando County Board of County Commissioners is accepting applications for two vacancies on the Hernando County Tourist Development Council. One vacancy must be filled by a representative of a tourist business collecting the tourist tax, and the other vacancy must be filled by someone who does not collect the tax, but is involved in tourism.

The Tourist Development Council promotes tourism opportunities in Hernando County and oversees the collection and disbursement of the Tourist Development Tax.

Tampa, Florida -- Hillsborough County Employees who are concerned about their insurance benefits may want to be at the County Insurance Committee Meeting at 8:30 a.m. this Thursday Jan. 17.

The meeting takes place on the 26 Floor of the County Center in Conference Room B. The County Center is located 601 East Kennedy Blvd. in Downtown Tampa.
