Hernando County, Florida -- Law enforcement officers from over 300 Florida agencies are participating in the state-wide torch run to benefit the athletes of Special Olympics Florida.

The Hernando County Sheriff's Office will once again have the opportunity to participate in the torch run on April 9 at 9 a.m. beginning at Killingsworth Plaza in Brooksvile. Participants will follow a predetermines route that will end on the front steps of the Hernando County Courthouse.
