Two Plant High School football players make the college committment

Tampa, Florida-- It has been announced that two Plant High School students, Richy Klepal and Mitchell Wright, have committed to two Florida colleges to play football.

Klepal will play for the Seminoles at Florida State University in Tallahassee, and Wright will play for the Bulls at the University of South Florida right here in Tampa.

A recent release describes the two athletes:

Richy Klepal, Florida State Seminoles:

"6'5" 285 lbs, OLINE (plays tackle, verstaile enough to play tackle, guard, or center).  Runs great for a big man and has tremendous flexibility to make all the blocks.  Devastating inside run blocker.  Aggressive finisher with a mean streak.  Spectacular in pulling plays and traps plays as he moves tremendously in the open field and looks to destroy potential tacklers.  Excellent pass protector.  Technician.  Great student of the game with extensive film study in game planning.  Pefect combination of being fundamentally sound, aggressive, smart, and athletic.  Very good student.  Outstanding kid and leader."

Mitchell Wright, South Florida Bulls:

"6'4" 210 lbs, LB/DE/TE (very versatile - can play stand up end or with his hand in the dirt, will play mainly sam linebacker for Plant this year, also dabbles on the offensive side of the ball as a tight end and wide receiver)  Amazing motor: only knows one speed and one effort level - he is full go every down.  Incredibly fast for his size.  Consistently runs the 40 in the 4.5s.  Very angular with long arms and great leverage - often beats opponents bigger than he is with his great speed and quickness and his angles and leverage.  Big play man - had five sacks in the state game against Miramar including a sack in the end zone that caused a fumble that changed the game and led to a championship.  Dynamic person and outstanding honor student.  Team captain."

According to the release, Klepal and Wright would like to thank their families, the faculty and staff at Plant, and especially their teammates and coaches for helping to make their dreams come true.
