Tampa, Florida -- The 66th annual street festival known as Fiesta Day will be held next weekend on Saturday, Feb. 23. The family-oriented event features food, music and art while honoring the immigrants who settled in Ybor City.
More information about the event can be found below in a release sent out promoting the event.
Ybor City celebrates BB&T Fiesta Day Saturday, Feb. 23, from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. This free family-oriented event honors the Cuban, Spanish, Italian, German and Romanian immigrants who settled Ybor City in the late 1800's.
"Come out and enjoy your National Historic Landmark District," invites Tom Keating, President & CEO of the Ybor City Chamber. "Stroll famed La Setima and partake of ethnic cuisine and music with family and friends - this is Ybor at its best!"
Ybor's own restaurants will be featured in the Sabor de Ybor. Guests will be able to graze from one end of La Setima to the other. Arte de Ybor will include not only our own "creative retail," but also a variety of arts & crafts vendors. The Maxima Stage on 7th Avenue will feature Tampa's Sol Caribe and Latin pop band La Calle from Orlando. Opening and closing will be the Nathan Herrera Flamenco Group.
New this year will be a display by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and an interactive play area at the LEGOLAND Florida booth at Centro Ybor. BB&T Fiesta Day is presented by Florida Blue and co-sponsored by the City of Tampa and YCDC. Media Sponsors include Bright House Networks, the Tampa Bay Times/tbt* and Maxima 92.5.
