Postcards sent to help solve murder | Crime
Brooksville, Fla. -- More than 10,000 postcards have been mailed to St. Petersburg residents in an attempt to solve the 2007 murder of a 19-year-old girl.
Dominique Lewis's body was found on Dec. 11, 2007, in a wooded area off Brooksville Rock Road in Brooksville.
Hernando County Crime Stoppers has provided the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office with 10,213 postcards asking for help in solving the case. The postcards will be mailed to the St. Pete area where Dominique lived, frequented, and where her vehicle was abandoned. These postcards include a picture of 19-year-old Dominique Lewis, her address, physical description, and her vehicle information.
The Hernando County Sheriff’s Office is hoping someone with information will see this postcard and contact the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office to speak with a Major Case detective.
Anyone with information about the murder of Dominique Lewis is asked to contact the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office at 352-754-6830. If anyone wishes to remain anonymous, they can call the Hernando County Crime Stoppers Hot Line at 1-866-990-TIPS (8477) or e-mail a tip to www.hernandosheriff.org/tips. Anyone who provides a tip through the Hernando County Crime Stoppers may be eligible for a reward up to $1,000.
