Detectives seek purse theft suspects

Tampa, Florida-- Tampa Police Officials say there are at least eight cases within the city of Tampa, four of which took place in Hillsborough County.

They're speaking of purses being stolen from the inside of cars as drivers pump gas. 

Video surveillance from the following gas stations shows suspects pulling up next to cars as the drivers fill their tanks. Then, the video shows the suspects as they open the victims' doors, snatch the bags and flee the scene:

  • Circle K, 1410 East Hillsborough Avenue on July 4
  • Marathon, 902 East Hillsborough Avenue on July 14
  • BP Gas Station, 1312 East Busch Boulevard on July 14 
  • BP Gas Station, 2145 East Fowler Avenue on July 17
  • BP Gas Station, 1312 East Busch Boulevard on July 18, 2012. 
  • Radiant Gas Station, 2356 West Hillsborough Avenue on July 28, 2012. 
  • Circle K, 1001 North Dale Mabry Highway on August 1, 2012. 
  • Sonoco, 4155 Henderson on August 1, 2012. 

Police say 22-year-old Justin Seebech is suspected of the incident at the BP Gas Station on July 18.

They believe Seebech is working with other suspects, and they ask anyone with information on these crimes to call Crime Stoppers or Tampa Police.
