Man arrested after 8-month crime spree | Crime
Spring Hill, Florida -- A man is in police custody Wednesday after an 8-month crime spree that included stealing church property, a pickup truck, gas from three other trucks and property from a Pasco home.
It all started on Feb. 2 when Pasco County deputies say 19-year-old Aaron Fulbright stole a $3,500 car stereo from vehicle parked outside a Spring Hill home. On Oct. 9, DNA results from a cigarette butt left at the scene came back linking Fulbright to the crime. Fulbright denied committing the crime but could not explain why the cigarette butt with his DNA on it was found on the ground next to the driver's side door.
On April 10, deputies say Fulbright broke into his neighbors' home through the rear sliding glass door and stripped wire from inside the home and stole nearly $5,000 in property, including a loaded handgun and eight red, white and blue batteries. Deputies were able to link palm prints found on the victim's kitchen counter with Fulbright. The victim told deputies he does not know Fulbright and Fulbright couldn't explain how his palm prints ended up inside the home.
On Sept. 23, deputies say Fulbright broke into the Victorious Life Church storage unit and stole approximately $15,300 in lawn equipment, generators and a trailer. He then stole a 1995 Ford Ranger pickup truck valued at $5,000. Fulbright told deputies he traded all of the property, except for the Ford Ranger, on the street for crack cocaine.
Three times in October, Fulbright then set his sights on an Advance Auto Parts store in Spring Hill where he punched holes into three trucks and stole gas to fill the stolen vehicle he was driving around. The total damage to the trucks was estimated at $6,400. In one of the incidents, he also stole four rims and tires from the truck.
Fulbright was finally arrested on Nov. 6 and charged in all the crimes which included two counts Criminal Mischief, two counts Burglary of an Automobile, Burglary of a Structure, Grand Theft Auto, Burglary of a Residence and Grand Theft.
