Man high on crack found passed out in truck in median

Brooksville, Florida -- A man high on drugs was arrested Wednesday after deputies found him passed out in his truck and in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Around 8 p.m., Hernando County Sheriff's deputies responded to call of someone "passed out" behind the wheel of a truck that appeared to have driven into the median on Cortez Boulevard in front of the Country Kitchen restaurant.

4 juveniles charged with burglarizing schools

Brooksville, Florida -- A father who called police, concerned his son might have stolen items he found in his bedroom, resulted in the recovery of numerous items taken from three schools and the arrests of four kids.

On June 23, Hernando Sheriff's deputies went to the home on Star Road to investigate and found various items including an X-Box 360 video gaming system, video games, an iPod, a laptop computer, a watch, coins, and miscellaneous school and food items.

Police: Man tries to set fire to couple in bed

Brooksville, Florida -- Hernando Sheriff's deputies say a man tried to burn a couple alive just three days after being released from jail. 

Deputies say just after midnight on June 15, Sylvester Frances Kulaga was released from the Hernando County Detention Center, where he had been since November on various drug and larceny charges.

Jennifer Odom's killer remains a mystery

Pasco County, Florida -- Jennifer Odom's murder has been that unsolved case that has stumped investigators for 20 years and recently once again.

Investigators didn't find the blue pickup truck in Lake Jovita in Pasco County that witnesses believe was driven by Jennifer's abductor.

2 sought in over 180 storage unit burglaries

Town 'N' Country, Florida -- Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office detectives are asking for the public's help in identifying two, Hispanic men responsible for the most recent of five business burglaries in the Town 'N' Country area.

Detectives say since May 29, over 180 storage units have been burglarized in that area.

The surveillance video above is from the Uncle Bob's Storage located in the 8300 block of Hillsborough Avenue. The men seen in the video pried open 72 storage units with a screwdriver, walked through the units and took very few items.

Detectives: Potential new evidence in Jennifer Odom case

Brooksville, Florida -- Hernando County Sheriff Al Nienhuis announced Tuesday the sheriff's office is currently working on one particular lead out of hundreds in murder case of Jennifer Odom.

Sheriff Nienhuis says one recent tip indicated there might be evidence related to this case in Lake Jovita, located in Dade City, and they have teamed up with the Pasco Sheriff's Office and the FBI in recovering that possible evidence.

Teen sentenced to 6 years in prison for violent crimes

Tampa, Florida -- A 16-year-old Carrollwood boy will hopefully learn his lesson this time after he received a six-year sentence in a Florida State Prison for a list of violent crimes.

Hillsborough Sheriff's deputies say on Feb. 2, deputies arrested Kobe Brantley for aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, aggravated assault, shooting at or into a building and felon in possession of a firearm.
