Sebring, Florida-- Looking for some summer-fun for your little one? Then check out the Children's Museum of the Highlands' Discovery Camps for kids!:

Discovery Camp is an amazing way to enjoy the summer break from school.  Choose a week or sign up for the whole summer, elementary age children will enjoy the different topics and learn about a wide variety of subjects.  They will get to play in the Museum for one hour each day and will spend the rest of their time with other campers, doing crafts and activities on each week’s theme.

The camp is limited to 25 students each week and is run by a certified Highlands County schoolteacher with help from high school volunteers.  Camp is 9 to 5 each day for a full week, early drop off or late pick up is available for an extra fee.  Registration and payment are required to hold your spot in class.

The cost is $75 per student per week; non-members pay a $10 registration fee.  Camp care is available for $20 per family, per week.

Payment Schedule - If you want to sign up for multiple weeks, you can pay a $20 deposit per week to put your child’s name on the class list.  Then when that week comes you only owe $55 due on the first day of class.

Next week's Edible Science camp starts Monday, June 24 and lasts through Friday, June 28. Organizers say Shelly Word's cooking curriculum will touch on properties of matter, and kids will get to change liquids into solids with a yummy cupcake experiment.
