Spring Hill, FL -- Calling all kids to the Greater Hernando County Chamber of Commerce Easter Egg Hunt!

The egg hunt is open to children 3 to 12 and will be held Saturday, March 30 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Anderson Snow Park, located at 1360 Anderson Snow Road in Spring Hill.

After the egg hunt, families can stick around to play in the Kids' Zone with over 18 vendors and activities including face painting and balloon art. Judging in the second blueberry pie baking contest will being at 1 p.m.

Brooksville, FL -- The Kiwanis Club of Brooksville has announced their Annual Easter Egg Hunt.

This year's event will take place on Saturday, March 23, at Tom Varn Park. It will start promptly at 10 a.m. and should last through 1p.m. 

There will be games, prizes as well as free hot dogs and drinks to participants. 

Don't miss your chance to take part in the fun, and even do the “bunny hop” as you hunt for your treasures!

At 11 a.m. on March 9, a Grand Opening and Play Day will be held at the KaBOOM! playground.

KaBOOM! is a national non-profit dedicated to saving play for America's children.

Tampa Heights residents are encouraged to join in on the fun by bringing their kids, some chairs and some lunch.

Tampa, Florida-- Despite Tampa Bay's lead in the state for the number of newly licensed foster families, state and local officials say they are still in desparate need of willing and well-suited parents as nearly 2,000 Bay area foster children remain. 

The recent "Fostering Florida's Future"  and "1200 New Foster Parents in 12 Months" initiatives have helped the Bay area land over 150 new foster homes just this year, and DCF officials say they are rolling out two new recruitment efforts to keep the growth going.

Brooksville, Florida -- On March 29 and 30, Gulfside Regional Hospice will host its sixth annual "Rhythm of the Spirit" Kids' Camp featuring activities to help children cope with the death of a loved one.

Director of Bereavement and volunteers at Gulfside Sonia Quinones says drum circle facilitator Jim Talbot will teach the kids about the rhythm of the heartbeat explaining how everything has a rhythm and will have the kids express the rhythm of the spirit of their loved ones on the drum.

Hillsborough County offers Spring Break Camps, teen-only camp too

Hillsborough County, Florida-- While Spring Break can be very exciting for kids, it can also leave some parents who have to work in a bind as they search for alternative daytime activities. If this rings true for you, Hillsborough County has your back!

Various parks throughout the county will be offering Spring Break Camp the week of March 11 through the 15 for students ages 5 - 15. Parents can drop campers off as early as 7:30 a.m., and pick them up as late as 6 p.m., allowing most to carry out their normal work week without a worry.
