It's a free art and craft show to celebrate earth month. Enjoy free wine and appetizers while you check out recycled crafts, jewelry, sculptures, pottery and more.


EcoExpression will be held Saturday, April 23 from 5 - 8 p.m. at Whole Foods Market in South Tampa. It's located off Dale Mabry Highway and I-275.

Highlands County, FL -- Robert Palussek, Administrator, Highlands County Health Department, is pleased to announce that Highlands County’s health status has slightly increased since last year.

Each county received two overall rankings; one for health outcomes and one for health factors.

The term “health outcomes” represents how healthy a county is while the term “health factors” is what influences the health of the county.

Spring Hill, FL -- The Hernando County Health Department has received confirmation that at least three of the individuals who were tested following a recent illness outbreak in Spring Hill, have tested positive for norovirus.

At least 100 people who dined at or were in contact with someone who dined at Kally K’s Restaurant between March 6 and March 11 experienced severe diarrhea, nausea, vomiting and other gastrointestinal symptoms approximately 30 hours after eating food at the restaurant.

Spring Hill, FL -- This Saturday, the Hernando County Sheriff's Office is asking people in Spring Hill to turn in their old prescription drugs.


It's a chance for residents to bring unused, unwanted or expired prescriptions, controlled substances and over-the-counter medications for safe disposal.

Lake Placid, Florida -- The Lake Placid Police Department will be giving an American Heart Association First Aid class on March 16 at 5:30 pm at a cost of $30 per person. 

For those who have previously taken the CPR class from the Police Department, the cost is $20. 

Certification is good for three years.
