Hernando Co., FL -- The county has released some important information regarding the upcoming presidential election. Check out their reminders and updates below:

-BRANCH OFFICE RE-OPENS TO SERVE THE PUBLIC:

The branch office of the Hernando County Supervisor of Elections office is now open to the public and will remain open through the General Election.

  • Location: 7443 Forest Oaks Boulevard, Spring Hill 34606
  • Hours: Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.

-FINAL SIZE OF HERNANDO COUNTY BALLOT:
The initial draft of the ballot was 18" long, 2 pages, doublesided. We were able to make several adjustments and bring the size of the ballot down to 14" long.

-RETURN POSTAGE FOR ABSENTEE BALLOTS:

  • Postage needed to return absentee ballot in Hernando County: $0.65

-ABSENTEE REQUESTS:
Voters can request an absentee ballot:

-VOTER REGISTRATION DEADLINE APPROACHING:
If you would like to vote in the General Election, you must be registered by: 5pm, October 9th - Book Closing

  • BY MAIL: If you mail your application in, make sure you have it stamped with a postmark.

-CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENTS ON BALLOT:

-SAMPLE BALLOTS:

Sample ballots will be:

  • Mailed to voters prior to the early voting period
  • Available online in the near future (Staff are currently preparing the files)

-HERNANDO COUNTY SUPERVISOR OF ELECTIONS URGES VOTERS TO REQUEST AN ABSENTEE BALLOT:

The General Election ballot in Hernando County is going to be:

  • 18" long
  • 2 pages
  • Doublesided

On the ballot, there will be:

  • Candidate races
  • Referendums
  • 11 Constitutional amendments

Requesting an absentee ballot will allow you to:

  • Take time to study the candidate races, referendums and amendments
  • Vote from the comfort of your home or wherever you choose
  • Return the ballot when you are ready (but make sure it's before 7pm on Election Day!)
