Palm River-Clair Mel, FL -- Hillsborough County detectives have identified the alleged shooter in the Clair Mel City shooting Tuesday night as 21-year-old Oscar Trejo.

Detectives will be attempting throughout the day to locate Trejo.

According to police, the shooting broke out during a fight between 5-6 teenagers at approximately 6:40 p.m. outside 2010 Waikiki Way.

During the fight, the shooter pulled out a gun and fired several rounds hitting a 17-year-old teen once in the stomach.

The teen fled on foot before collapsing in the front yard of a vacant house at 1720 Warrington Way.

The teen was taken to Tampa General where he is critical condition.

It is unclear what caused the shooting but police say there is no indication the fight was gang related.
