Graffiti threat won't disrupt classes, says Plant High principal | News
Tampa, Florida -- A Hillsborough County school district spokesperson says a recent threat at Plant High School will not affect classes.
Graffiti in one of the girl's restrooms threatened damage to the school, according to The Tampa Tribune.
In response, Plant High principal Rob Nelson sent a recorded message to parents assuring them that it was not a serious threat.
"We called Tampa police, and when Tampa police officers come and spend time in the bathroom, a girls' bathroom, that's going to start rumors," said district spokesman Steve Hegarty.
Tampa police confirmed to The Tampa Tribune that they were called to the school, but said the threat didn't appear to be real.
