Hillsborough County, Florida -- Hillsborough County government is using an online survey to gain more insight into the community’s perceptions, needs and desires related to small business, entrepreneurship and innovation.

Insight provided by survey participants will help Hillsborough County government to make decisions about its programs, services, facilities and amenities (including those at public libraries) to better support entrepreneurship, small business and innovation in our community.

Zoning Master to hold hearing in Downtown Tampa

Tampa, Florida--If you have a zoning issue in Hillsborough County there is an opportunity to bring it before the Zoning Hearing Master.

The meeting will be held at 6 p.m. Monday July 22 in the 2 Floor Boardroom of County Center.

The Zoning master is meeting  and will hold a public hearing to address al rezoning requests in Hillsborough County.

Help wanted! Community interviewers needed for door-to-door survey

Hillsborough County, Florida -- The Hillsborough County Government is working to conduct a survey of residents who currently receive or who are eligible to receive social services from the County. 

They are looking for interviewers to conduct door-to-door surveys in Hillsborough County neighborhoods. The job requires you to be at least 18-years-old, high school diploma or equivalent, strong reading skills, ability to speak clearly and distinctly, reliable transportation and able to start immediately. There will also be a background check for applicants.

ELAPP changes subcommittee meeting

Tampa, Florida--The Hillsborough County Environmental Land Acquisition and Protection Program (ELAPP) has rescheduled the General Committee Policy meeting.

 The group will  now meet at 3:30 June 5th in the Real Estate Conference Room  of County Center. County Center  is located at 601 E., Kennedy Blvd. in Downtown Tampa.

 The subcommittee will review existing ELAPP procedures and determine if there should be any changes.

Commissioners seek applications for citizen boards and councils

Hillsborough County, Florida -- Hillsborough County Commissioners are seeking residents to serve on several County citizen advisory boards and councils. Residents interested in seeking appointment must be registered voters in Hillsborough County. These are voluntary positions, and members serve without compensation. Applicants may apply to more than one board, but may only serve on one board at a time. All applicants must submit the Standards of Conduct form along with their application.

Hillsborough Human Relations board to meet

Tampa, Florida --The Hillsborough County Human Relations Board which reviews complaints filed under the County Human Relations Ordinance meets at 12 p.m. Tuesday May 14 at County Center.

The meeting will be on  the 26th Floor of County Center, in Conference Room B.

County Center is located at 601 E. Kennedy Blvd. in downtown Tampa.

Special magistrate for false burglar alarms to hear cases

Tampa, Florida--If you have been cited for a false burglar alarm in Hillsborough County you can make your case to  Code Enforcement Special Magistrate for Burglar False Alarms and Natural Resources.  at 9 am Monday May 6th in the 2nd Floor Boardroom of County Center .

If you want to appeal any decision by the Special Magistrate you'll need a reconrd of the hearing and may need to insure a verbatim record is made.

An appeal has to be scheduled within 30 days after the Magistrate's order.
