Electric and Mechanical Board of Adjustment to meet Thursday

Tampa, Florida -- Those involved in the Electric and Mechanical Trade may be interested in the Hillsborough Electrical and Mechanical Board of Adjustment, Appeals and Examiners meeting next week in downtown Tampa.

The Electrical Board will meet at 9 a.m. and the mechanical board will meet at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 20 in the 18th Floor County Center Planning Commission Boardroom

County Center is located at 601 East Kennedy Boulevard in downtown Tampa.

Public Art Committee to meet this week

Tampa, Florida -- Some say public art can change city for the better. If you feel that way, you'll want to be at the Public Art Committee meeting at 11:30 a.m. this Thursday, Nov. 29 at Hillsborough County Center.

The meeting takes place on the 23rd floor in the Facilities Management Conference Room. The County Center is located at 601 East Kennedy Blvd. in downtown Tampa.

Hillsborough Co. commission reorganizes

Tampa, Florida-- Hillsborough Commissioners have reorganized the councils and board they serve on. The reorganization comes following the first Hillsborough Commission meeting at the County Center.

For the most part Commissioners stayed on the same boards they served on prior to the election . Those serving on new boards are in bold:

All Hernando County Voters will be asked to mark their ballots "yes" or "no" on two questions which will appear on the November 6th General Election ballot. 

The first question is whether you favor the levy of a property tax of up to one-tenth of one mil (.1 mil) to fund the acquisition, management, and maintenance of environmentally sensitive lands, with the program to sunset on Sept. 20, 2021.

Tonight at 7: Learn your amendments with "Understanding the Law"

Hernando Co., FL --  Hernando County Government Broadcasting has scheduled the broadcast of a segment of "Understanding the Law" moderated by Circuit Judge Richard Tombrink, in which three local attorneys discuss the proposed Constitutional Amendments which will appear on the November 6th General Election ballot.

Judge Tombrink has hosted "Understanding the Law" on Channel 622 for several years.  It is a periodic program in which he has discussed various legal topics with guests who are in the legal profession in Hernando County.

Hernando County, FL-- The Hernando County Supervisor of Elections Office has sent out a warning to all voters. Some have reportedly received a letter questioning the status of their citizenship, and the Supervisor of Elections says the letter did not originate at their office, nor any of the other 67 offices.
