Carrollwood voter registration drive

Carrollwood, Florida -- The Hillsborough County Supervisor of Elections Office will hold a voter registration drive in Carrollwood July 14.

Elections employees will be at McDonald's at 6717 N. Dale Mabry Hwy from 10:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

The deadline for voters to change their party affiliation if they wish to vote in the upcoming primary, is July 16 at 5:00 p.m.

Elections Office delivers almost 3,000 ballots to overseas voters

 

Tampa, FL - Earl Lennard, the Hillsborough County Supervisor of Elections, announced the delivery of 2,622 military and overseas Vote By Mail Ballots to the post office on Friday.

Military and overseas voters can request a Vote By Mail Ballot by mail, fax or e-mail.

The Supervisor of Elections office says the easiest way to request a Vote By Mail Ballot is to log on to www.VoteHillsborough.org, and click on the Vote By Mail tab at the top.

Hillsborough County, Florida-- The Hillsborough County Supervisor of Elections tweeted a notice that new voter registration cards are on the way to all registered voters.

"Plz RT: You've got mail! We 're sending new voter info cards to all Hillsborough Co registered voters. Mailing to take approx. 1 wk."

Hernando County, Florida-- The Greater Hernando County Chamber of Commerce's Government Affairs Committee invites you to take part in their  Politics in the Park event next month.

According to their website, on Thursday, July 12, from 5 - 8 p.m. at the Hernando County Fairgrounds Auditorium, 6436 Broad Street, Brooksville, an old-fashioned political rally will provide residents the opportunity to meet local, state and federal candidates and discuss election issues within the community.

Tampa, Florida-- The RNC announced the opening of several "Victory Offices" around Florida, including one on Oakfield Drive in Brandon. There are 6 others in the Tampa Metro area.

The Republican National Committee (RNC) announced the official opening of 23 Victory Field Offices in Florida. These offices will coordinate the get out the vote operations for Governor Mitt Romney leading up to the November election.

Mayor to be featured speaker at Downtown Partnership meeting

Tampa, Florida - Tampa Mayor Bob Buckhorn will be the featured speaker at the Downtown Partnership's 26th annual meeting and luncheon.

The meeting is scheduled for Tuesday June 19 at the Tampa Convention Center 333 S. Franklin Street in Downtown Tampa.

The Partnership says the meeting allows it an opportunity to share and celebrate its accomplishments and induct the new leadership. 

According to the Partnership, the meeting will provide thoughtful discussion, exciting downtown updates and their vision for the upcoming year.
