Tampa, Florida-- For those of you still sending mail the old fashioned way, the Seminole Heights Branch Library has a class for you.

On July 12 at 10:30 a.m., the Library is holding a class on how to create an email account.

The class will also teach how to compose an email as well as sending an electronic letter.

CCC to display famed photojournalists' work in August

Tampa, Florida-- The Carrollwood Cultural Center announces its presentation of the work of famed Latin photojournalist, Daniel Rodriguez.

The exhibit, entitled "Colombia, Face of the Past", will be the first U.S. show of Rodriguez's work, and will take place from August 2 - August 31.

Brandon, Florida-- It's time to Jam in Brandon! 

On July 14 from 5 - 10 p.m., a free Band Jam/Skate Jam will take place at the Brandon Skate Park, 5720 Providence Road. 

A recent release says the event will feature five to six participants at a time as they compete with skateboarding tricks. Local bands will play live music during the event.

Meeting to discuss Lake Carroll improvements

Carrollwood, Florida -- Hillsborough County will hold a public meeting to discuss the second proposed phase of stormwater improvements to the Lake Carroll stormwater system in Carrollwood. These improvements are intended to improve water quality and quantity.

The proposed improvements involve adding filtration systems to the west side of the lake, to reduce sediment and debris entering the lake. Construction is expected to begin in spring 2013 at a cost of approximately $390,000.

Brooksville, Florida-- The Hernando County Board of County Commissioners will hold a Special Meeting on Tuesday, July 3 at 9 a.m. to consider the proposed Fiscal Year 2012/13 Budget for Hernando County.

The meeting will be held in the John Law Ayers Room (160), Hernando County Government Center, 20 N. Main St., Brooksville, Florida.  

The Board invites the public to attend the special meeting and speak your minds.

On Tuesday, June 26 you can get a gardening lesson at the Seminole Heights Branch Library.

The library is hosting a class that will teach you how to mount plants like ferns and bromeliads to wood.

Ferns and bromeliads are an Epiphytes and that means they can grow on all types of surfaces, not just soil.

It's an hour long class that begins at 6:30 p.m.
