Time running out for water conservation incentives

Hernando County, Florida-- The Hernando County Utilities Department has announced that time is running short for customers to take advantage of two water conservation incentive programs - the Rain Sensor Installation Program and the Low Flow Toilet Replacement Program.

The Rain Sensor Installation Program promotes residential outdoor water conservation by offering a $50 water bill credit for customers who have a rain sensor installed to their irrigation system.

Tampa, Florida - Sam's Club on North Dale Mabry in Carrollwood is offering free diabetes and vision screenings for members and the public on Saturday, September 8 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

According to the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), about 1.9 million new cases of diabetes are diagnosed each year, and the disease is the leading cause of new cases of blindness in adults in the U.S. If trends continue, 1 out of 3 U.S. adults will have diabetes by 2050.

Hernando County, Florida-- Time is running out to sign up for incentive-based Water Conservation Projects for this year. The Rain Sensor Installation Program and the Low Flow Toilet Replacement Program end on September 15, 2012.

The Rain Sensor program is an outdoor water saving method, promoting residential conservation by offering a $50 water bill credit for customers who have a rain sensor installed to their irrigation system.

Hillsborough County, Florida-- Hillsborough County Public Schools and the Back-to-School Coalition of Hillsborough County are co-hosting opportunities for free physicals and immunizations on upcoming Saturdays.

Free school physicals are available to any child entering a Florida school for the first time in grades kindergarten through 12, Public Schools representatives said in a recent release.
