Town 'N Country, FL - With over 80 acres to work with, Berkeley Preparatory School in Town 'N Country has plenty of opportunities for physical growth. The next step is to secure the funds for the sweeping renovations and additions that are on the board of trustees' agenda.

Driven by ambitions of a new arts and sciences building, gymnasium, alumni building, chapel, and even an "early childhood center," the private school is estimating that the construction project will cost approximately $50 million. The school, celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, is already quite familiar with restructuring and expanding after almost doubling it's acreage in the past 10 years.

The board is reaching out for donations, loans, and other private sources of funding, and are nearing the $15 million mark of money collected. When $5 million more is raised, then the first phase of the project will begin, brining to life a large field house, quad, and clock tower on the main campus.

While the timing of the construction will depend on the donations received, the goal is to have the project completed by 2006.
